The Man Behind the Pixels

Something About Me

I guess a name would be appropriate at this time. My name is Bivin Howell, a freelance graphic artist with an educational background in marketing. My career journey up to this point admittedly hasn't been "peaches 'n cream", and this site is part of my effort to change that trend.

This site was developed to showcase some of my work {past and present}, to collaborate and network with other professionals {particularly programmers, designers, marketers}, and to market my services to potential clients. As mentioned before, I've been fortunate of late to establish a relationship with clients and their work you'll see presented here in the coming weeks. I send thanks to a particular friend and colleague for these opportunities, and they are potentially the spring board for what I anticipate will be a fun, yet hard road ahead of me as a professional graphic artist and web designer.

My Focus

I'm here to create and coordinate design elements into cohesive communication design systems, that will strengthen the effectiveness and consistency of a company's marketing message. My primary focus is creating websites, logos, brand identities, and traditional print materials that are well-developed and functional. Simply put, I don't like to create garbage, and garbage you will not receive.

Skills Set

I'm persistently forging my raw talent into a formidable set of finely honed skills to compete in the graphic design profession. Following are some of my skills and the tools I use to build projects:

Quick Bio

Why am I a graphic artist?

It's simple, I love art and design! I'm not the traditional designer with a prolific design school education, and I won't even say I hail from the school of hard knocks. Rather, I'm a guy who has an ability to draw, and the enthusiasm to create. There's a significant hole in my professional experience, and I work diligently towards being more proficient as an artist/designer to fill that void in my career.
